How My Daughter Memorized 10 Juz While Attending Public School
Welcome to our very first entry on Learning Expedition! When we started this journey back in July 2022, my daughter was just 7 and 1/2 years old. As a former network engineer and self-taught programmer turned homemaker, I knew that consistency, structure, and a lot of love were the keys to mastering any difficult skill—including the Holy Qur'an. We actually shared the exact same Quran recitation teacher, but behind the scenes, I took on the role of guiding her memorization completely at home. It wasn't always easy balancing her public-school schedule, homework, and daily life, but through small, consistent daily steps, she has officially memorized 10 Juz and now 11.5 years old! Through this blog, I want to show other busy parents that it is entirely possible to give your children a strong spiritual and Arabic foundation at home, even alongside public schooling. I will be sharing our daily updates, schedules, and the exact visual language charts we use to make learning interactive and joyful. Thank you for joining us on our expedition!
